Early Morning
The day begins in the farm office, where Derek and Devin review operations, handle business matters, and make a plan for the work ahead. Before heading to the shop, the father-son team enjoys a breakfast prepared with love by Susan—wife, mom, and an essential part of the operation.
From there, the season’s priorities take over. Whether it’s planting, spraying, harvest, equipment maintenance, or preparing for the next stage of the year, each day requires careful planning and teamwork. Weather forecasts are checked, equipment is inspected, and the crew coordinates to ensure every field receives the attention it needs.
In the Field or in the Shop
Whether we are planting, monitoring crop health, repairing equipment, or harvesting, much of the day is spent outdoors and hands-on. We use modern precision agriculture tools to manage resources responsibly while also relying on experience, observation, and care for every acre we farm. During the winter months, our focus shifts to the shop, where we maintain and prepare equipment for the seasons ahead. It is also when we renew certifications and licenses, ensuring we are prepared, compliant, and ready for the season ahead.

As the sun sets, we review the day’s progress and prepare for tomorrow’s work. Equipment is cleaned, serviced, and made ready for another productive day.
During harvest, the day often ends with the crew gathering for dinner—a time for fellowship, gratitude, and reflecting on the work accomplished together
